My Personal Logo Design - GD

In Graphic Design, our unit is Commercial Art. Commercial art is used for advertising and marketing purposes. Our assignment was to design our own logo that represents us as an artist. I thought that this shows how much I love art, how I like to create all sorts of art, and how versatile I am with the materials and as an artist. Above, I have a pencil, paintbrush, and pen, behind a ribbon that states my name.

Out of the five main styles of logos we studied, I chose to create an emblem of sorts. I thought that this style of logo would benefit me most to get my name across and represents the many things that represent me as an artist. Emblems involve both text and symbol, but the text appears inside a symbol. The ribbon represents awareness and craft, and the other symbols of the art materials symbolize my usage of each in my artwork. These symbols define my art and I. I also chose this style because it is a pretty popular style chosen by many popular brands. I just appreciated how it got the name across as well makes their brand be associated with certain things. It somewhat stands as my badge.
