WHEAT PASTE Graffiti ASSIGNMEnt
Class: World Arts
Date: September 20, 2021

For World Arts, we were required to create our own black and white graffiti posters to paste onto a temporary wall at our school. We were required to draw two flowers, a bear, a piece of architecture, and a lifesize self-portrait. I made my drawings out of black sharpie marker and paper. I took some inspiration from pictures I could find on the internet, and put my own spin on these objects. For the first flower, I drew it without lifting my pencil, giving it the perfect imperfect effect. For the second flower, I took inspiration from pictures of stargazer lilies, and I added several more petals and spiky leaves. The bear was quite a challenge as well, but I liked how it turned out! For the clock tower, I took inspiration from Big Ben and let my imagination take over. Lastly, for the lifesize human drawing, I had to trace myself out on a piece of paper and just jump into using the sharpie. I was surprised how well it came out!
After that, we took all of our drawings into the hallway and painted the paste onto the drawings, gluing them to the wall. It truly was a fun process!
