GD Passion Project

I am extremely proud of my Passion Project for this semester of Graphic Design Studio. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here, and found a new love of creating art digitally.

My Passion Project explores a clear study of a subject (an elephant and its habitat) as well as a pursuit of a challenge, and the use of a specific material (the pen tool!). I drew this elephant and its habitat on Adobe Illustrator, and it is made entirely with the pen tool. I explored the pen tool further, and felt that I learned a lot about shading and coloring an object with these lines that I created with this material. Although this project took more around 14 hours than 7, I feel that the result was well worth taking the time to do.

I feel that my craftsmanship and quality is very clear, since I put in a lot of time to notice all the details and make them stand out. This representation of an elephant just goes to show the magnificence of the animal, and how beautiful it truly is. It advocates for elephants and nature in general, trying to highlight and make known how amazing this creature is.

I feel that the end product is so beautiful. I am super proud of the way it turned out. :)
